Policies, Privacy, and Procedures
Online Payment Policies: Wheat State Technologies is a provider of residential and commercial telephone and fiber internet services.
Service Delivery Policy: Wheat State Technologies delivers ongoing services via copper telephone lines and fiber-optic cables to our customers’ premises. New order installation time will vary depending on the services ordered and the location to which service is to be delivered. Please contact our customer service department with regard to new orders for complete details regarding installation time and cost. New service orders are not possible via our online bill payment system at this time.
Service Terms: Statements for subscribed services are mailed monthly. Bill statements cover monthly service charges in advance for a partial one-month period from the date of the bill. Monthly long distance calling plan rates are billed in advance. Long-distance service charges are billed for approximately one-month period in arrears. One-time charges for service calls, late fees, reconnect fees, miscellaneous charges, or repairs may also be included on the bill statement. Bills are due and payable by the 15th of the month. WST provides at least a seven-day grace period for payments. We ask your cooperation in the prompt payment of all amounts due. Unpaid service accounts are subject to service interruption when the grace period ends. A reconnect fee of $24 will be charged after the past due amount has been paid and the services restored. Cash, Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover), Personal/Business Checks, or money orders are accepted forms of payment. Please make checks payable to one of the following: Wheat State Technologies, Wheat State, or WST. Payments may be presented in person, via US mail, pay-by-phone, through a registered on-line WST account, or in the Customer Care office drop box. AutoPay methods of payment using a checking account or a credit card account are also available. AutoPay drafts are processed on or about the 10th of the month. You may enroll in AutoPay by visiting: https://wheatstate.com/autopay-enrollment/ or by contacting a Customer Care office. In the event of cancelling services and your final bill has a credit balance for unused service your credit may be applied to your AutoPay payment method or if you are not enrolled in AutoPay, credit may be applied to your preferred payment method. Privacy Policy and Identity Protection Procedures: We value you as a customer and we know how much your privacy means to you. In the normal course of providing you telecommunications service, Wheat State Technologies collects and maintains certain information about you, whether it is the information actually contained on your monthly phone bill or information specific to your identity. Wheat State Technologies uses this information to conduct our business, to advise you of our products and services, and to provide you with excellent customer service.
When you contact one of our customer CARE centers for assistance we may verify your identity prior to accessing your account information. This is to protect your identity and prevent fraudulent activity from occurring. We may ask you to verify information that identifies you as the primary account holder. Any information that we collect from you will be used to identify you, your consumer identity and your account information– these safeguards have been implemented to protect you from fraud and/or identity theft.
Wheat State Technologies Privacy Statement: Wheat State Technologies does not sell customer information. In order to protect customer information, we use technology and procedural safeguards to protect your privacy. We review our policies and practices, and monitor our customer CARE centers and computer networks to prevent unauthorized access or usage. We may be required to disclose your customer information for legal and regulatory reasons such as a court order, to investigate fraud or other unlawful uses of communications services. We may also share your customer information with consumer credit-reporting agencies to verify your identity and/or credit history, and provide information to collection agencies as necessary. We respect your privacy and we’re committed to keeping you informed and protected.
